Dr Gaurav Sharma
UNRAVELING THE MIND – Psychology of Problem Solving
Dr. Gaurav Sharma is a professor with more than 15 years of experience and a lot of drive. His subject of expertise has been chemistry, and he has been conducting sessions for the prestigious NEET and IIT JEE. He holds an MSC in Neuroscience from the National Brain Research Centre, Manesar, Haryana, and a bachelor’s in dental surgery (through CPMT), along with a PGDBF-Post Graduate Diploma in Business Finance (ICFAI) and a bachelor’s in science from IGNOU. He is a pioneer in the field of neuro-learning and has authored a book on learning techniques titled Neurolearning: The Neuroscience of Learning, which is soon to be released.
Dr. Sharma is among the founders of Vidyamandir Classes (VMC) in Noida Center and has been working as a senior faculty member since April 2015. He has been given a Certificate of Appreciation and many accolades for the great job he has done as a teacher and mentor.
Dr. Sharma’s job involves conducting three classes per day (2 hours each) for IIT JEE and NEET students. He also counsels students about their career choices, solves their difficulties, explains the learning process, and deals with their day-to-day learning problems.
He prepares different weekend tests, unit tests, grand tests, and other test series, modifies and corrects regular study material, and tracks the overall growth of the students and the whole batch. During the first COVID lockdown, Dr. Sharma was one of the member who initiated the start of YouTube Live on VMC’s YouTube channel. He conducted 70+ webinars on many topics, like careers in the post-Covid era, neuro-learning (the neuroscience of learning), stress management, time management, and motivation for students and parents across India, to help brand VMC. He has also worked with Vidyamandir classes at the Safdarjung Centre (November 2012–March 2015) and with Physics Wallah as a professor in August 2022 at the Janak Puri Centre.
Apart from his professional endeavors, Dr. Sharma is a prominent speaker for many organizations like TOI and McMillan Publishers and has conducted seminars on critical thinking, problem-solving skills, parenting vs. overparenting, the neuroscience of learning, artificial intelligence vs. natural intelligence, and a career in the post-Covid world. He is also fluent in English and Hindi and runs a personal YouTube channel and web portal for his students to help them deal with matters related to mental health.
